This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2033 refers to the condition of the EGT (exhaust gas temperature) sensor located in the "up" pipe forward of the catalytic converter. Its sole purpose in life is to protect the converter from damage due to excessive heat. This code means that the circuit has a high voltage condition.

An EGR flow excessive trouble code set can be caused by numerous concerns, too numerous to simply mention in a forum. The cause needs to be diagnosed.
As said previous if you pull the air filter box off and then look at the end of the engine from the off side wing the sensor is located at about the 2 o`clock position on the top of the gearbox. It is under some pipework but you can just see it, You will see the single bolt that holds it in and this can be a bit difficult to remove but just
Ford Mondeo - DPF and oil warning 2.0 tdci - Jes : My 59 Plate Mondeo did the same, 700 miles AFTER the first 12,500 mile service. I took it to the main ford dealer for my area (essex ford) and they changed the oil and filter and applied an ECU update all free of charge.
The fix is an oil & filter change and an ECU update, they say. The service manager says it's an oversensitive sensor relating to the DPF, which reports the oil has become contaminated and is putting the DPF at risk. The ECU update is supposed to reset the parameters for the sensor. Oil drop, filter & update is free, under warranty.
A couple of fault codes appeared: P2458 DPF regeneration duration, which may be caused by over charged filter - solution is to manually regenerate the DPF. P0490 EGR valve control performance or range fault, may be caused by stuck or sticking EGR actuator. P042F EGR Control stuck closed.
Step 3: How to tell when a DPFE sensor is failing. When a DPFE sensor begins to fail, it provides the PCM with bad/inaccurate data. This is because it is less sensitive and the PCM thinks less recirculated gas is being burned than is actually so. When this happens, the PCM adjusts the flow of the gas as a means of compensation and winds up
Posted January 19, 2015. Took my car for a run with Forscan running and the DPFE reading is nearly always at 0kpa and rises occasionally to 1kpa, usually when it has risen to 1kpa the exhaust temperature is over 200ยบ and drops to 0kpa when the temp falls below 200ยบ. So If i am correct the sensor is reading very little difference in pressure
Hello, I have started to get the DTC P2002 - Particulate trap filter efficiency below threshold. Using an Autel Maxicheck, i have read the following values while driving at normal operating temperature: DPF differential pressure: 0 - -0.3psi. Soot level 20%. DPF pressure sensor voltage 0.4-1.5V. Mechanic has replaced the tubes going from the
Engine malfunction on display DPF. Mk 1 kuga. I had the car to 3 garages. The first one was my main garage for repairs and he does. me my MOT He removed and cleaned the DPF. (diesel particulate filter) Then next back to him for a engine. management software upgrade Again back to him to fit a new temperature sensor.

Check the DPF differential pressure PID. Maybe look at differential pressure sensor tubes, search this forum. Also regen fuel injection unit between cat
Changing the DPFE Sensor (Delta/Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Sensor) Most shops in Dallas will charge $280 for parts and labor, but the Ford Factory pa
The differential pressure sensor measures the pressure drop between two points in the flow pattern and is used at two different points in the exhaust manifold. At one point it reports the charge status of the particle filter and monitors its function. At the other point it is used to control the low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation.
8V21-12B579-AA is a Ford engineering no., and one site said it fits the Mondeo 2011 2.0TDCI. Ford part code is 1516668, and fordpartsuk.com says it is for Mondeo 1.6TDCI, from Feb. 2011. A few sellers list it as valid for your car. 6C11-12B579-AA is listed by other sellers as the correct one for that car.
